VINEYARD VINES SHOPPING EVENT TODAY!

TODAY is the 4th annual Vineyard Vines shopping day at the Short Hills Mall from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Our 8th grade boys will be given the opportunity to get spiffy outfits for their debut on the runway at the fashion show… but all families are invited to attend this great event. Assumption families will receive 10% off their entire purchase and 10% of all the net proceeds will be donated back to Assumption School!! Click here for more information.

ENRICHMENT

Forensic Competition
Tryouts for the upcoming forensic (public speaking) competition will be held during the week of October 3, 2016 for the 6th – 8th grades during school hours.  The competition will take place on November 9th at 3:00 at St. Patrick’s in Chatham.  If your student is interested in trying out, please email Jeanjabbour@verizon.net.

Can’t Stop the Feeling, So Just Dance, Dance, Dance!
Bring your dancin’ shoes to try a variety of dance styles with Art in Motion!  Get moving, build self-expression, and have some fun with your friends! This program is for 1st through 4th graders and will take place every Friday in the gym from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. October 14th through November 11th. Please click here for a registration form.

OFF-PREMISE GRAND RAFFLE SALES

By selling Grand Raffle tickets at church or local stores you can easily sell your initial raffle books (and more!) in only a couple of hours. ***Each book sold is a chance in the Weekly Prize Patrol, and every two books sold earn your student a Mini Gift Auction ticket! Only complete books can be counted towards Prize Patrol. Be sure the last page stays attached to the booklet and labeled with your child’s name and class to be sure they get credit for their sales.
When selling, be sure the person purchasing the ticket writes at least a name and phone number on the ticket.

CALLING ALL DADS…..

Come be part of our big night! We need your help for the Annual Fashion Show at Birchwood Manor on Thursday, October 20, 2016. WINE PULL

Everybody wins! We are looking for donations of wine valued at a minimum of $20/bottle.  Time to dust off those gift bottles that are not your taste, or head to the wine store and choose something fun!  The night of the Fashion Show, numbered corks will be sold for $20 and matched to a bottle of wine. Everyone purchasing a cork will go home a winner, and donors will be recognized.  Last year’s winners went home with bottles valued up to $150 and the wine pull raffle sold out in under an hour!  Please consider leaving a donated bottle in the box marked “Wine Donations” in Phyllis’ office.  ***NOTE: This is a donation that cannot be sent in with your child 😉  Thank you in advance for your help!  Jen Brunnock (brunnockfamily@aol.com) and Christie Meehan (cmeehan28@aol.com)

Basketball Registration

Registration is now open for our School basketball teams. Basketball is available for boys and girls in grades 4 through 8.

Basketball registration will end on Sunday October 8th. Please register by October 8th as we need to inform the league the number of teams we are entering this year.

To register, please go online via our website, http://assumption-school.siplay.com/site/.   The link can also be found on the Assumption School website, under the “Athletics” tab. You will then be prompted to create a login & password. Once you’ve completed the registration process and paid in full, a confirmation receipt will be e-mailed to you immediately.

An annual sports physical form must be completed and on file with the nurses before your child can participate in any sports activity.

CYO Basketball

CYO Basketball registration ends  on Wednesday September 8th.  CYO Basketball is available for boys and girls in the fifth through eighth grade who are members of Assumption Parish or attend Assumption School.  To register, please go online via our website, http://assumptionmorristown.website.siplay.com.  CYO Basketball is a separate league, and not associated with the Assumption School basketball teams. Try-outs may be necessary if the number of players who register exceeds the amount we can accommodate on a particular team.  Please see the Parish bulletin for additional details.
