This is a reminder to all parents that school photos for your student will take place on October 4/5. Portrait package information has been sent home with your student. Please submit your order via our online ordering system or send the completed form in with your student during school photo day. If you did not receive a photo form or have any questions about placing your order, please contact Lors Photography at (908) 964-0847.
Kindergarten is collecting colored plastic lids from water bottles and sports drinks for a craft project. If you have any, please send them to Maureen Byrne in KA.

LEARN TO RIDE A BIKE: NOTE CLASS IS FOR AGES 5-13

Forensic Competition
Tryouts for the upcoming forensic (public speaking) competition will be held during lunch/recess and study periods on Wednesday October 5, 2016 for the 6th – 8th grades. For the tryout, 6th graders will read the poem Sick by Shel Silverstein and the 7-8th graders should select a 1 min excerpt of a piece. The competition will take place on November 9th at 3:00 at St. Patrick’s in Chatham. If your student is interested in trying out, please email Jeanjabbour@verizon.net.
Can’t Stop the Feeling, So Just Dance, Dance, Dance!
Bring your dancin’ shoes to try a variety of dance styles with Art in Motion! Get moving, build self-expression, and have some fun with your friends! Each book sold is a chance in the Weekly Prize Patrol, and every two books sold earn your student a Mini Gift Auction ticket! Only complete books can be counted towards Prize Patrol. WINE PULL – “I told you: you can make yourself love anybody.”
Or, any bottle of wine…when everybody wins! We are looking for donations of wine valued at a minimum of $20/bottle. Numbered corks will be sold for $20 and matched to a bottle of wine.
Everyone purchasing a cork will go home a winner, and donors will be recognized. Last year, bottles were valued at up to $150 and the wine pull raffle sold out in under an hour! Basketball Registration
Basketball registration ends next Sunday, October 8th. Basketball is available for boys and girls in grades 4 through 8.
To register, please go online via our website, http://assumption-school.siplay.com/site/. The link can also be found on the Assumption School website, under the “Athletics” tab. You will then be prompted to create a login & moncler shirts shoes password. Once you’ve completed the registration process and paid in full, a confirmation receipt will be e-mailed to you immediately.
An annual sports physical form must be completed and on file with the nurses before your child can participate in any sports activity.

Cub Scout Pack 34 invites your son to join Cub Scouting.
In Cub Scouts, your son will have lots of fun, learn new things and make new friends. But Cub Scouts is much more than that; it is fun with a purpose. Scouting is a family oriented organization. Scouting develops character, leadership, communication skills, and good citizenship.
If you’d like to join or learn more about Cub Scouts, stop by this year’s Basketball Clinic at the Assumption Gym to shoot hoops with some of our current Cub Scouts.
