ENRICHMENT

CLAY STUDIO – WINTER SESSION 2017
Come and spend Monday after-school from 2:30-3:30 for 4 sessions creating one-of-a-kind objects working in clay starting on January 16, 2017. Please click here to learn more information and to print out the permission form.

AFTERNOON ART – WINTER SESSION 2017
Join Afternoon Art and have an opportunity to enjoy and explore art in small multi-age groups after school. The session will consist of 4 classes and is available to students in grades 2 to 8.  ASSUMPTION SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
“The Wizard of Oz” auditions will be Tuesday, Jan. 24th 4-6pm. Call backs for lead roles will be Thurs. Jan. 26th 4-6pm. Our director is limiting 40 performers to this production. Anyone trying out for this performance must audition these dates. Rehearsals will start once a week in Feb., 2-3 times per week in March, April and May. Performance dates are May 19th & 20th. No more than 2 missed rehearsals will be permitted. There will be a $100 fee to participate which will be collected with audition form. Auditions open to 4th-8th grade students. For auditions girls will sing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, boys will sing “If I Only had a Brain” and “If I were King of the Forest”.

We are seeking short stories, poetry, comic strips, essays, artistic photographs, and drawings for our second annual issue. Kids in grades 5 through 8 are welcome to submit as many pieces as they like. Submission is not a guarantee of publication. Please email submissions or questions to Christen Fisher (Alex’s mom-8B).
