Honeywell Instant Alert:
Assumption School uses the Honeywell Instant Alert system to communicate important messages to families regarding school closures, delayed openings, etc. With this past week’s school closing and delayed opening, you may have realized that you did not receive an alert on all of the devices necessary to get you and your family the information in a timely manner. Please take a moment to log into your Honeywell account (https://instantalert.honeywell.com/InstantAlert/Login.aspx) to review and update your Alert Settings. Illness & Absence Policy:
In light of all of the viruses going around, here is a reminder of Assumption’s Illness & Absence policy as it appears in the HSA Directory & Handbook:
* If your child vomits or has diarrhea during the night or in the morning, please do not send them to school. If your child becomes ill during school, moncler belt bomber you will be called to pick them up.
* If your child has a fever, they cannot return to school unless they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol, Motrin or other fever reducing medications.
* If you child is diagnosed with strep throat, conjunctivitis (pink eye) or any other illness requiring the use of antibiotics, they must be on the antibiotic for 24 hours before returning to school.
* Parents of students in grades K through Eight must contact the school before 8:15am to report any absence. Please provide a brief description of your child’s illness or reason for absence.
* Extended absences should be reported each day that the student is absent from school. A doctor’s note will be required after five consecutive missed days.
* Homework can be requested when calling in an absence. Arrangements can be made to have homework sent home with a sibling or neighbor or to have it picked up by a parent at dismissal.

CUB SCOUTS
On January 25th the Assumption Cub Scout Pack 34 held it’s annual Pinewood Derby. It was an exciting time for the scouts and their families. Scouting is a family oriented organization that develops character, leadership, communication skills, and good citizenship.  Boys entering 1st – 5th Grades (September 2016) are welcome to join.

19TH ANNUAL PASTA SUPPER & BASKET RAFFLE

The Religious Education department is holding its annual Pasta Supper and Basket Raffle on Saturday, March 18, in the school cafeteria. 7TH GRADE FUNDRAISER – PILATES/STRETCH/YOGA FOR ASSUMPTION MOMS
Please register for this private pilates/stretch/yoga fusion class for Assumption moms in order to rejuvenate your body and spirit and help raise money for the class of 2018. The class will be held at the Summus BodyMind Studio on 173 Washington Street from 8:15-9:15am on Fridays March 3, 10, 17, and 24th. Only $100 for 4 classes. First come first serve. Registration due by Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Uniform Drive for Philippines
Do you have extra Cross Country and Track jerseys that your child no longer fits into? Consider donating them for a good cause! From February 1st through the 17th we will be collecting used jerseys to give to Ed Thornton to deliver to youth sports teams in the Philippines. No size is too small, no number of jerseys is too large. Please drop the jerseys in the plastic bin that will be in the lobby beginning on Wednesday, February 1st. Registration For Baseball, Softball and Track and Field

Registration is open for Baseball (boys grades 7th and 8th), Softball (girls grades 7th and 8th) and Track and Field (boys and girls 3rd grade through 8th grade). Please register through our website: http://www.sportssignup.com/Assumption-School-Online-Registration.start. The link can also be found on the Assumption School website, under the “Athletics” tab. Once you’ve completed the registration process and paid in full, a confirmation receipt will be e-mailed to you immediately.
