Fashion Show 2017 –  Mardi Gras and All that Jazz

Mark your calendars for the 2017 Fashion Show to be held at the Birchwood Manor on Thursday, October 19th. This year we will celebrate MARDI GRAS AND ALL THAT JAZZ. All proceeds raised during the event will go to support our school.

Please look in backpacks next Monday for the family packet that provides all the information you will need to support and attend this event. Gift Auction
The Fashion Show Gift Auction Committee has already received some fantastic donations for “Mardi Gras and All that Jazz”. Join the fun and check out the gift registry (click on MyRegistry link here) that has lots of ideas for the always fabulous Gift Auction baskets. The items picked off the registry will be sent directly to the Gift Auction Committee. Or, feel free to design your own creative package. Monetary donations in the form of cash or check (made payable to Assumption HSA) are always welcome. With any donation, please be sure to fill out a donation form found on the school website under “forms” and return it to the Gift Auction Committee envelope in the school office.

Silent Auction

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR FALL SPORTS                     

Soccer, Cross Country and Volleyball
Registration for boys soccer (grade 7 and 8), girls soccer (grades 7 and 8), cross country (girls and boys in grades 3 through 8) and volleyball (girls and boys in grades 7 and 8) is open. To register, please go online via our website, Sportsignup. The link can also be found on the Assumption School website, under the “Athletics” tab. An annual sports physical form must be completed and on file with the nurses before your child can participate in any sports activity.

As the soccer and cross country seasons begin shortly after school opens in early September, we would appreciate if you could register for these sports soon. If not enough 7th and 8th grade students register for soccer in the next few weeks, registration will then be opened to 6th graders. We are also in need of coaches for soccer and volleyball. Please contact Kevin Bopp at kevin_bopp@nylim.com if you would like to help coach or with any questions.

SUMMER SUPPLY LISTS

In the past Supply lists/Summer work have gone home with report cards, this year we are going paperless. You will be able to find this information on Google Classroom.

ATTENTION INCOMING 6TH GRADE PARENTS

ALL students who are 11 years old and entering 6th grade MUST have the Menactra (meningitis) and Tdap (tetanus, diptheria, acellular pertussis) vaccines. If your child has already received these immunizations, great! Please send a copy to the school nurse as soon as possible, but definitely before the start of the 2017-18 school year.

If your child has not already received these immunizations, please make an appointment now, to get it done promptly. Your child must show documentation of these in order to enter 6th grade this fall.
