Afternoon Art is an opportunity for students to enjoy and explore art in small multi-age groups after school. Projects incorporate materials and techniques not typically offered during regular art class.

During this winter session we will make one wonderful sculpture. It will be a penguin made of Paper Mache wrapped over a balloon. The penguin will be painted and dressed with a scarf or bow tie, hat etc… It will be mounted on a base surrounded by snow and other winter elements.

Please complete the attached registration form and return it to the main office along with your check made payable to Diane Spetrino. A portion of the fee is donated to the school. Indicate first, second and third choice. This will help in scheduling. I will try to accommodate car pools and special requests so indicate them on your form.

Thank you!

ENRICHMENT DAY

Come One, Come All to the Greatest Show on Earth!! This year’s Enrichment Day theme is “Under the Assumption Big Top.” Enrichment Day is one of the students’ favorite days of the year, where they are brought together to learn about diverse cultures and experiences through fun-filled interdisciplinary activities. The students travel throughout the school, experiencing the year’s theme from different perspectives and points of view. But we need your help! Parent volunteers are needed to help with the planning leading up to the day, and to run the activities on Enrichment Day which will take place on Friday, May 11th. Our first general meeting will be on Friday, January 26th at 8:15am in the MultiPurpose Room. Please join us to find out more about this exciting day and help brainstorm some circus-themed activities. Feel free to contact a member of the Enrichment Committee with any ideas or questions.

Thanks,
