Thanks to everyone who came to the Enrichment Day “Under the Assumption Big Top” Kick-Off Meeting, and to those who have already signed up to be a part of this year’s festivities!  We have a wonderful group of parents, but still welcome anyone else who would like to be a part of the planning committee – in particular, we are in need of help from our parents in grades 4-6. The next meeting will be on Friday, 2/23 at 8:15 in the multi-purpose room if you are interested in helping out.  If you can’t make the meeting, you can also sign up through the following link: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/30E094DACA92AA1F49-2018.

6 Mondays – 2:30-3:30 – $78
March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 9, 16
Come spend Monday after-school at Assumption creating one-of-a-kind objects working in clay. Students will learn to use simple tools and traditional hand-building techniques as well as ways to impress texture into the clay. They will also strengthen their color and design skills as we glaze our pieces.
Please return this form along with your check $78, for Peggy Davo, to the main office by Thursday, March 1st. All supplies are included and firing will be done in my studio. A portion of your check goes to the school. Thanks!

Parents often ask, “Is my child too sick for school?”  Usually, if you have to ask the question, the answer is yes.  With the flu season upon us, it is imperative that we do all we can to control the spread of infectious diseases and as parents, we need your help.
We ask you to please review the following policies before you consider sending your child to school.
Your child should stay home from school if:
  1. They have a temperature greater than 100 degrees. Students should be fever free for 24 hrs without medication before returning to school
  2. They are diagnosed with a strep infection. Students need to be on an antibiotic for a minimum of 24 hours and be fever-free before returning to school
  3. They have vomited or had persistent diarrhea during the night or morning before school
  4. They have a persistent cough, chest congestion, or discolored nasal drainage.
  5. They have pinkeye (conjunctivitis).  Students need to have completed 24 hours of medication, and have no visible redness or discharge before returning to school.
For the health and safety of all of our students and staff, we appreciate your cooperation.

Don’t forget to buy your 2018 Assumption Yearbook for $30.  You can log onto jostensyearbook.com to order on line or send an envelope with the money or a check made out to Assumption HSA to the attention of Hope Zenker/yearbook. We sold out last year so don’t delay in ordering your new yearbook!
