CLAY STUDIO – SPRING 2018

6 Mondays – 2:30-3:30 – $78
March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 9, 16
Come spend Monday after-school at Assumption creating one-of-a-kind objects working in clay. Students will learn to use simple tools and traditional hand-building techniques as well as ways to impress texture into the clay. They will also strengthen their color and design skills as we glaze our pieces.
Please return this form along with your check $78, for Peggy Davo, to the main office by Thursday, March 1st. All supplies are included and firing will be done in my studio. A portion of your check goes to the school. Thanks!

FROM THE NURSE’S OFFICE

Parents often ask, “Is my child too sick for school?”  Usually, if you have to ask the question, the answer is yes.  With the flu season upon us, it is imperative that we do all we can to control the spread of infectious diseases and as parents, we need your help.
We ask you to please review the following policies before you consider sending your child to school.
Your child should stay home from school if:
  1. They have a temperature greater than 100 degrees. Students should be fever free for 24 hrs without medication before returning to school
  2. They are diagnosed with a strep infection. Students need to be on an antibiotic for a minimum of 24 hours and be fever-free before returning to school
  3. They have vomited or had persistent diarrhea during the night or morning before school
  4. They have a persistent cough, chest congestion, or discolored nasal drainage.
  5. They have pinkeye (conjunctivitis).  Students need to have completed 24 hours of medication, and have no visible redness or discharge before returning to school.
For the health and safety of all of our students and staff, we appreciate your cooperation.
