TESTING FOR GRADES 2-8
All students should be to school on time.  No one will be admitted to class during testing, they will have to sit on the bench in the lobby.  Please make sure children get a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast.  Please do not make appointments during the day during testing week.
 
Book and Bus forms
Grades K – 7  If you did not submit a book and bus form for your child, please download a copy from the website under “forms” and bring it to school on Monday, March 5.  Forms will be submitted to the different municipalities for busing.  You will not be bused or reimbursed for busing unless a form has been completed and sent in on time.
When dropping off items, please leave them at the front desk.  We are asking everyone to please not go to classrooms during the school day.

SCHOLASTIC “PAWS FOR BOOKS” BOOK FAIR

March 19-22, 2018- SAVE THE DATE!
The Scholastic “Paws for Books” Book Fair is coming to Assumption School the week of March 19th through March 22th. This is a great opportunity to purchase Scholastic books for your child and yourself. There will be books ranging from pre-school age to adult. Each grade will have time to shop with their class. Books can also be purchased during the family shopping time at the end of each fair day from 2:30-3:00 pm.
New this year – we will be offering one “late night” shopping event – Tuesday March 20th from 2:30pm-5:30pm. In addition, if you cannot make it to the book fair, you will be able to purchase books online, URL address to follow.
Volunteers will be needed to help set up the Book Fair on Friday, March 16th. In addition, volunteers will be needed during the book fair to help younger students shop for books as well as man the cash registers at check out and help stock shelves. A Sign-Up Genius will be provided in the Weekly Word next week.

LAST ADVENTURE CLUB OF THE YEAR –  MONDAY, MAY 7th

 
Molders Fishing Preserve, Jamesburg, NJ
Monday May 7th
Students will leave the school at 1:30pm and return to school at 6:30pm. The cost is $40 and includes coach bus, entrance to pond, fishing pole rental, bait, and Longfellows Turkey or Italian Sub.

Limited to first 50 students to register
DO NOT SEND CHECKS
Students may bring their own fishing pole if they prefer.

CALLING ALL GOLFERS!

Only 20 spots left…Register now for the First Annual Assumption Golf Open at Morris County Golf Club on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Foursomes NOT REQUIRED!  Register as an individual, twosome, or threesome and we’ll pair you with golfers to complement your game.
Registration includes BBQ lunch, 18 holes of fast and fun shamble format, and cocktail reception.   If you can’t make it to Golf, please join us for the cocktail reception!

Baseball, Softball and Track and Field
Registration is open for Baseball (boys grades 7th and 8th), Softball (girls grades 7th and 8th) and Track and Field (boys and girls 3rd grade through 8th grade).  Please register through our website:
