School closed Memorial Day
It has come to my attention that car riders dismissed from the front door have been crossing Macculloch Avenue to be picked up. Car riders should be dismissed from the cafeteria. If you pick up in front of school, you must come into the building to get your child no matter their age. This is for the safety of your children. Also remember you are not allowed to park on the school side of Macculloch Avenue during school hours. Two students nearly got hit by a car on Thursday walking between two illegally parked cars to reach their car.
Another safety issue is the use or I should say “non-use” of seatbelts on the school buses. If I could ride each bus and be sure seat belts were on and cinched properly on each student, I would. Please, please, please impress upon your children the importance of wearing the seatbelts on the school buses.
Please remember to check the online bulletin on our school website for important daily announcements and updates.
THE MOTHER/SON SHINDIG
YEE HAW!
Hey there all you lovley Moms of the First, Second, Third and Fourth Grade boys, time to get All-Fired up for the The Mother/Son Shindig Dance!
Please check your little fella’s backpacks this week for a red invitation to the Mother/Son Shindig square dance.
We have found an excellent caller to organize the rodeo being held in our very own Assumption Gym Ranch on June 1 at 7:00.
Please be sure to come along and join the fun. Don’t let it worry you if you have sports scheduled and need to come a little late.
You deserve some time with your favorite cowboy(s) spinning around the Barn.
Looking forward to a fantastic night!
Please feel free to reach out to Monica O’Meara (theomeara6@gmail.com) with any questions.

PreK3 – 6th grade: Grade level donation drive
No sign of the baby blue letter in the backpack, just have not had a chance, or maybe you have had a busy couple of weeks. No worries! It is not too late and is a perfect time to be part of what we hope is a new tradition. Make a donation to the planned grade level gift for your grade to our Fashion Show Gift Auction and Silent Auction today. This small donation ($10 – $20) is meant to capture a donation from each student to create a fun package listed from the kids in the grade. Send your cash or check donation (payable to Assumption HSA) in the envelope attached to your letter or any envelope with your child’s name and current grade. Multiple grades can be sent in one envelope. Thank you for your participation.
Silent Auction Spotlight: Wait for it…A Whole Hamilton Weekend!
Who doesn’t want to see Hamilton? Who has seen it and doesn’t want to see it again? But the Silent Auction Committee isn’t stopping at tickets to the hottest show on Broadway. We are putting together a romantic couples package that includes two tickets to the musical, and a fabulous dinner and hotel room in NYC! Can you make a donation to support this fabulous getaway? Or perhaps two or more families can go in together to support one of the most exciting prizes of the evening.
Contact a member of the Silent Auction Committee for additional details or questions. You can send your monetary donation (checks payable to Assumption HSA) with a completed Donation Form to school to the attention of “FS Silent Auction Committee” via your child’s backpack. Thank you for helping make this year’s Fashion Show Silent Auction the most exciting yet!
