AFTERNOON ART CLASS – FALL 2018

Grades 2 – 8
4 Classes: 2:15 – 4:00
Fee: $65.00 (includes all materials)
Afternoon Art is an opportunity for students to enjoy and explore art in small multi-age groups after school. Projects incorporate materials and techniques not typically offered during regular art class.
This session we will create two Halloween projects. The first is a 3-D haunted house. It will be mounted on a foam board base complete with a graveyard and hosts of spooky characters. Our next project will be a shadow puppet on wire that is mounted to a wooden base that the students will decorate. These create a fun and creepy silhouette on a wall when you shine a light on them.
Please complete the attached registration form  and return it to the main office along with your check made payable to Diane Spetrino. A portion of the fee is donated to the school. Indicate first, second and third choice. This will help in scheduling. I will try to accommodate car pools and special requests so indicate them on your form. You will receive confirmation of your class choice.

IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS STORE!

Ok, maybe not quite yet, but preparations are underway for one of Assumption’s most magical days of the year! Santa’s Workshop will open its doors on Tuesday, October 2nd from 7-9pm and again on Wednesday, October 3rd from 8:15-11am in the Multipurpose Room (down the hall from the nurses office). Come catch up with old friends and make some new ones as we begin wrapping gifts and light craft projects. Please see our complete schedule below and join us as your schedule allows. And as always, younger siblings are welcome to join the fun during the daytime workshop hours.

For any questions, please contact one of Santa’s Elves, Michelle Carr (michelle.carr4@me.com), Linda Chang (aloc.chang@gmail.com), or Christine Sidhu (christine.sidhu@gmail.com).
