COMMUNITY SOUP KITCHEN – BROWN BAG BREAKFAST

We have been asked by the Community Soup Kitchen to help out by supplying brown bag breakfasts on Monday mornings.
Beginning on Monday, November 5 Assumption School will be delivering brown bag breakfasts to the Community Soup Kitchen in Morristown each Monday. Each grade will be assigned a Monday.
The Soup Kitchen supplies meals to many less fortunate who otherwise would be hungry. They are provided with a meal at lunch time and take the brown bag home. It is suggested that we provide the following:
  • Small box of cereal
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Fruit/fruit cup
  • Granola bar
  • Juice box
Monday, November 5 will be Eighth Grade’s turn to bring in a breakfast bag. Please have your child bring the brown bag breakfast into school on Monday morning and deposit it in the bucket in the lobby. This is a voluntary project – no one should feel obligated.
Thank you!

ATTENTION PRE-SCHOOL AND 6TH GRADE PARENTS

Just a reminder to all pre-school parents that flu season is upon us.  All pre-preschoolers are required, by the state of NJ, to have a flu vaccine.  Please send written documentation from your pediatrician to the nurse as soon as possible.  We require that all flu shots are done by December 1.
6th grade parents-  If your child is missing the Tdap and Meningitis vaccines we need them done immediately.  Please send written documentation from your pediatrician to the nurse as soon as possible.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and are happy to answer any questions.

ASSUMPTION IS A BOX TOP SCHOOL!

Gather all those Box Tops you’ve been saving over the summer and send them in!  Simply put them in a ziploc bag and send them in with your child to deposit in the bright pink box in the school foyer.
This is an easy way to earn money for our school.
Just follow these 3 simple steps:
1). Buy products with Box Tops on them.
See full list of participating products here.
2).  Clip the Box Tops and send them in to school every week.
3). Earn Bonus Box Tops automatically through ShopRiteformySchool by registering your Price Plus Card here.
You will need your Price Plus Card number which can be found on your receipt at the bottom of the list of items purchased (you may need to add a zero at the end of the customer number).  Then select Assumption of BVM School.  Now all you have to do is shop for participating products as advertised in the weekly circular!
The monies collected will be deposited into the HSA account and used for school programs. We have earned hundreds of dollars in the past but we know we can earn thousands like similar schools our size.  So please DO NOT IGNORE THIS OPPORTUNITY! Do not throw those box tops away.
Thank you and CLIP ON!
Please contact our Box Top School Coordinator, Evelyn Costello at costellofamily7@verizon.net, with any questions you might have.
