NEW DISMISSAL PROCEDURE EFFECTIVE MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26th

In order to provide a safe environment for our children and school staff, we have been advised to update our dismissal procedures by the Morristown Police Department as well as several other safety and security personnel in the Morris School District. Therefore, effective Monday, November 26, 2018 the following changes will take effect:
  • All school doors will remain locked during dismissal
  • Parents will no longer enter the building during dismissal
  • Bus riders will be dismissed as usual
  • At 2:25 cars will be allowed to enter single file in the front driveway (PLEASE PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD)
  • Every family will be given two name tags for your vehicle, which will be displayed on your front passenger visor
  • School staff will be assisting students entering vehicles on the passenger side only
  • Walkers will dismissed after car riders
  • There will be no parking in the back-parking lot after pre-school dismissal
We understand and appreciate change can be a challenge but please keep in mind this is being done to provide a safe environment for our children and staff.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support.

BROWN BAG BREAKFAST

We have been asked by the Community Soup Kitchen to help out by supplying brown bag breakfasts on Monday mornings.
Beginning on Monday, November 5 Assumption School will be delivering brown bag breakfasts to the Community Soup Kitchen in Morristown each Monday. Each grade will be assigned a Monday.
The Soup Kitchen supplies meals to many less fortunate who otherwise would be hungry. They are provided with a meal at lunch time and take the brown bag home. It is suggested that we provide the following:
  • Small box of cereal
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Fruit/fruit cup
  • Granola bar
  • Juice box
Monday, November 5 will be Eighth Grade’s turn to bring in a breakfast bag. Please have your child bring the brown bag breakfast into school on Monday morning and deposit it in the bucket in the lobby. This is a voluntary project – no one should feel obligated.
Thank you!

KID CHEF – FALL SESSIONS

Would you like to know more about cooking/baking? Well, you’re in luck!  Mrs. Sopira and Mrs. Guglielmo will share their culinary skills with you.  We are offering 3 sessions of hands on instruction in the Assumption kitchen. Each session will focus on a particular meal and end in tasting the fruits of our labor! Please see the flyer for additional information!

CLAY STUDIO- HOLIDAY SESSIONS

They will also strengthen their color and design skills as we glaze our pieces.
Please return this form along with your $78 check, for Peggy Davo, to the main office by Thursday, November 8th. All supplies are included and firing will be done in my studio. A portion of your check goes to the school.
Thanks!
