DISMISSAL UPDATE

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work through the changes in our dismissal process. There are a few reminders and suggestions we would like to make:

  • On December 21, 2018 we will have a half day.  All PreK students and their siblings will be dismissed out the back of the school.  All cars for PreK students and their siblings must be in the back parking lot by 10:45.
  • Students who are walkers will be dismissed at 2:10 while the buses are loading.  If you are picking your walker up in a car, please park on Perry Street or the opposite side of Macculloch and use the crossing guard to cross the street.
  • We ask that everyone be mindful of our neighbors and please not block driveways and be aware of cars that are not going to Assumption and are trying to pass through. Please note, anyone parked blocking a driveway may be ticketed per the Morristown Police Department.
  • It would be helpful if some cars lined up on Miller Street instead of jamming up McCullough and making it difficult for passing cars. This will mean that the cars on Macculloch will have to be courteous and allow cars from Miller to enter into the car line.

STEM MOTORIZED LEGO BUILD CLASSES

We are pleased to be partnering with Bricks4Kidz to offer two new after school enrichment classes for Assumption students. Each week, students will build a different motorized model using LEGO Technic and will explore topics such as Inventions, Life Science, and Technology. The class will be fun, exciting and educational!  Please see the attached flyer for additional details.
The course is $100 for a 6 week session that will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room at school.  We can accommodate 20 students for each class. Please only sign up for the appropriate age group!
Tuesdays 2:45-3:45pm (grades K-2) 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12
Thursdays 2:45-3:45pm (grades 3-5) 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14

ASSUMPTION POWER TO THE PARENTS

The Assumption HSA is forming a parents’ forum to empower parents to have the tools to best address current concerns with our children and adolescents.  In 2019 we realize how difficult it is to be an effective parent in a world that is full of major risks and bombarded with stress.  These forums are open to any parents and caregivers who would like to problem solve and brainstorm with other concerned parents.
Please join us in the Assumption All Purpose Room for our first Assumption Power to the Parents forum on January 15, 2019 at
8:30 am.
If possible please RSVP to Jean Jabbour at Jeanjabbour@verizon.net.
