School resumes

Watch for 2019-2020 registration forms being mailed this week.

Please remember to check the online bulletin on our school website for important daily announcements and updates.

DISMISSAL REMINDERS

Here are a few reminders about the dismissal process:

  • Students who are walkers will be dismissed at 2:10 while the buses are loading. If you are picking your walker up in a car, please park on Perry Street or the opposite side of Macculloch and use the crossing guard to cross the street.
  • Please continue to arrive at school no earlier than 2:15.
  • Remember to approach school only from the Miller Road side in order to turn right into the school driveway. It would be helpful if some cars lined up on Miller Road instead of jamming up Macculloch and making it difficult for passing cars. Please be courteous and allow cars from Miller Road to enter into the car line.
  • We ask that everyone be mindful of our neighbors and not block driveways and be aware of cars that are not going to Assumption and are trying to pass through.

ATTENTION PRE-SCHOOL PARENTS

Just a reminder to all pre-school parents that flu season is upon us. All pre-preschoolers are required, by the state of NJ, to have a flu vaccine. Please send written documentation from your pediatrician to the nurse as soon as possible. We require that all flu shots are done before children may return to school on January 3rd.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and are happy to answer any questions.

They will also strengthen their color and design skills as we glaze our pieces.

Please return this form along with your $78 check, for Peggy Davo, to the main office by Thursday, January 10th. All supplies are included and firing will be done in my studio. A portion of your check goes to the school.

FASHION SHOW

Calling all volunteers…..

Believe it or not, it’s time to form our Fashion Show Committees for the Fall 2019 Show! This event is the primary fundraiser to support improvements at our children’s school. Volunteering is a great opportunity to work with and get to know other parents. Last year, we had almost 100 volunteers working on various committees to make the show a reality! If you are interested in helping out with Assumption’s Fashion Show, please email AndreaBopp@verizon.net. No experience needed! Please complete the volunteer form if interested in volunteering.

Thank you in advance for your support of Assumption’s primary fundraiser!

ASSUMPTION POWER TO THE PARENTS

The Assumption HSA is forming a parents’ forum to empower parents to have the tools to best address current concerns with our children and adolescents. In 2019 we realize how difficult it is to be an effective parent in a world that is full of major risks and bombarded with stress. These forums are open to any parents and caregivers who would like to problem solve and brainstorm with other concerned parents.

Please join us in the Assumption All Purpose Room for our first Assumption Power to the Parents forum on January 15, 2019 at
8:30 am.

If possible please RSVP to Jean Jabbour at Jeanjabbour@verizon.net.
