TOILETRY COLLECTION

Two of our Assumption School alumni who are students at the Academy of St. Elizabeth are collecting toiletry items to be distributed to the homeless and needy in our midst.  Please consider donating soap, shampoo, deodorant, body lotion, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes and dental floss to allow them to make 200 toiletry kits.  All items can be brought to Rauscher Hall next weekend or to the Parish Office throughout the week.  Thank you for your participation.

ICE AND CHRIST SKATE A THON

at Mennen Arena
This is an upcoming parish wide service opportunity for the 5th through 8th grade youth of our parish and school.  We are partnering with Notre Dame and St. Virgil’s to offer a “skate a thon” at Mennen Arena called Ice and Christ.
The purpose of this event is to raise money for Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Paterson.  Catholic Charities provides services to people in need.
To participate in the event, a signed permission form must be returned to Mrs. Bertram by Friday, February 15th along with $7.00.  A completed pledge/sponsor form should also be completed.  Participants should get pledged donations from people based on the number of laps that they believe they can complete around the ice rink.  All donations are due by Friday, March 29th.
Mrs. Bertram will personally donate $1.00 for every Assumption Parish 5th – 8th grader who participates.  Additional information about this event is included in the attached letter.
