ENRICHMENT DAY
Pack your bags – we are headed on a trip Around The World! We are ready to kick off Enrichment Day 2019 – Assumption’s Adventure Around the World – May 10th! Details about the day including drop-off and dismissal procedures, attire, etc., were sent home with your children and can also be found on the Assumption website under Forms.
Anyone who was unable to help with the planning of Enrichment Day but still wants to be involved on the day of can sign up for various volunteer opportunities using the SignUpGenius link below. There are many ways to help out, and we can work with your schedules. Now that the planning is done, we are counting on parent volunteers to help Enrichment Day run as smoothly as possible!

All students PreK-8 must return the attached
allergy permission slip by Friday, May 3 or they will not be permitted to have one of the snacks provided. The permission slip details the snacks which will be offered during the students’ time in the lobby.
Also, for students in Grades K-8 ONLY, please sign the attached
waiverand return it to school by Friday May 3. If your child does not have a signed waiver, he or she will not be able to participate in the fun inflatables activities we have planned in the gym. All activities are safe, age appropriate and will be closely monitored by professionals, however, this waiver is a standard procedure required by the rental company. A copy of this waiver should also have been sent home in your children’s folders last week. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and prompt return of the waiver!

Save the Date….Assumption Fall Fashion Show
Assumption’s Fall Fashion Show “Live from Assumption, It’s Thursday Night Live!”will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Birchwood Manor. Our committees are already hard at work to bring you another fabulous night and raise funds for our school.
Your child (grades PreK3-7th grade) should have brought home a yellow letter and envelope via backpack regarding our Grade Level Donation request for Gift and Silent Auction. This is an optional donation and a great way to help get our committees get started on forming packages for our auctions and get our children involved in supporting the event. Please return your donation by Friday, May 10th (Enrichment Day). Thank you for the great response to this appeal last year and we hope you will continue to support us again this year!

Happy Spring! The Fashion Show Gift Auction is kicking off another exciting season! We are doing things a little differently this year because of the new pick-up procedures. SUMMER SCIENCE CAMP

HOSPITALITY HELP NEEDED – ENRICHMENT DAY 5/10
Assumption Enrichment Day will be held on Friday, May 10th. The Hospitality Committee provides breakfast/lunch for all of the volunteers as well as the teachers. In keeping with the theme of this year’s Enrichment Day, we will be serving different foods from around the world. We hope you can help with this special day by contributing an item from the attached list (foods from different countries are encouraged).

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Roar VBS will be hosted at Assumption Church from August 5 to August 9. At Roar, kids discover that God is good even when life gets wild. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Wild Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Safari Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

If you have any uniforms that your children have outgrown and are no longer going to use, please drop them off in the All Purpose Room at school in anticipation of the annual uniform swap in June.
