GOLF OPEN IS IN ONE WEEK!

Please consider supporting Assumption’s newest tradition, the Annual Golf Open, in the following ways:
SPONSORSHIP: there are opportunities at all levels to advertise your business or show your family support.  We are also in need of a big-screen television for the raffle if you’d like to purchase or make a cash contribution.  Visit this link for more: https://birdeasepro.com/event/sponsorships/10704/
WINE and WHISKEY:  donate new, unopened bottles of wine or spirits valued at $20+ to the Wine and Whiskey pull.  Bottles can be dropped to the main office.  To simplify the donation process, we arranged online purchase and delivery with Cambridge Wines to make your donation. ENRICHMENT DAY   – Thank You !!!

What a trip!  On behalf of the Enrichment Committee, we would like to thank our entire school community for helping to make Enrichment Day 2019 a wonderful success! First, we would like to thank our amazing Committee Volunteers – you all worked late hours, early mornings and made the theme come to life throughout the school in so many ways. Your dedication and creativity is incredible and we are beyond grateful.

Thank you to our day-of volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly, kept the kids safe and happy and, most importantly, made it fun! We would also like to thank the Hospitality Committee for the beautiful spread of delicious food that they provided throughout the day – international delight!
We would like to thank the teachers and staff for your support, flexibility, patience and enthusiasm. Your guidance for the kids and chaperones was invaluable.
Finally, to Sister Merris – you are the pilot that keeps our kids soaring to great heights – how you embrace the spirit of the day is an inspiration. We thank you for everything you do for us and the students.
Congratulations to the following students who won dress down for their class in the counting contest (we will notify the classes which day they will have their dress down):
Colleen Santoriello & 6B
Bridget Wilkes & 4B

We hope you all enjoyed the experience as much as we did…thank you for making our Adventure Around the World a roaring success!
Sincerely,

FASHION SHOW

Save the Date….Assumption Fall Fashion Show
Assumption’s Fall Fashion Show “Live from Assumption, It’s Thursday Night Live!”will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Birchwood Manor. Our committees are already hard at work to bring you another fabulous night and raise funds for our school.
Your child (grades PreK3-7th grade) should have brought home a yellow letter and envelope via backpack regarding our Grade Level Donation request for Gift and Silent Auction. This is an optional donation and a great way to help get our committees get started on forming packages for our auctions and get our children involved in supporting the event. If you haven’t already returned your envelope and wish to participate, please send it in on Monday, May 13th. Thank you for the great response to this appeal last year and we hope you will continue to support us again this year!

Gift Auction
Happy Spring! The Fashion Show Gift Auction is kicking off another exciting season! We are doing things a little differently this year because of the new pick-up procedures. Instead of a lobby display, you will find all of our items online. The registry is fully stocked with lots of fun ideas. You can donate a single item or go in with a group for a one-of-a-kind package! The registry is a great way to customize your donation and make it unique! Thank you in advance to all our Assumption Families for their support.
Once you have made a purchase from the registry, please be sure to download and fill out a donation form [need hyperlink] and send it into school with your child marked “Attention Gift Auction.” The form can also be found in the school office.
Please feel free to contact a Gift Auction Committee member with any questions.

Silent Auction
Dear Assumption Families,
The 2019 Silent Auction Committee is hard at work to put together exciting packages for bid at the “Live from Assumption: It’s Thursday Night Live” Fashion Show in October. We could use your help.
Do you possibly have any connections who would assist us in securing donations of tickets, services, or lodging that can be part of the experiences we are putting together? Tickets to a game are especially popular, and season ticket holders can make a meaningful contribution by simply donating a single game from their season. Signed sports gear is an add-on that can round out an enticing sports package.
Monetary donations are much appreciated; in fact, they are critical for us to purchase complementary items to enhance our offerings. We use these donations toward gift cards for dining, lodging and other key attributes to build all-inclusive experiences for the successful bidder.
Please help us deliver unique and priceless fundraisers for this year’s Silent Auction. Feel free to contact us with any ideas you have for unique packages you or your friends might wish to contribute to. Remember, the Fashion Show is the big fundraiser for Assumption’s HSA, and the money raised goes directly to help our children.
Thank you for your generosity and support!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Roar VBS will be hosted at Assumption Church from August 5 to August 9. At Roar, kids discover that God is good even when life gets wild. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Wild Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Safari Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
Roar is for kids from pre-k 4 to grade 3 (fall 2019) and will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day. Teen volunteers must be in grade 6 (fall ’19) or older.  Online registration is open at https://assumptionparish.org/vacation-bible-school.

UNIFORM SWAP

If you have any uniforms that your children have outgrown and are no longer going to use, please drop them off in the All Purpose Room at school in anticipation of the annual uniform swap in June.
