September 15, 2019 Weekly Word

Great to see everyone at Back to School Night.  Looking forward to another great year with all of you and your children. All back to school forms were due Wednesday, September 11.  If you have not sent in your book fee of $150 (K-8) or necessary forms, please do so by MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

PlusPortals – Everyone should have received an email regarding setting up your account.  Soon you will receive an additional email with instructions on how to “opt in” and put your information into the online Assumption School Directory.

After School – Anyone attending After School must have a completed 2019-2020 form which you can access online.  All students must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.

Cell Phones – We must be able to reach you in case of an emergency.  Please make sure your mailbox is not “FULL”.  Student cellphones/Apple watches need to have a written permission form which is available online.

Honeywell Instant Alert – Please make sure you always press “1” to acknowledge that you received the alert.  Many of the families who received the “test” alert on Tuesday, 9/10 did not pick up because it was from “unknown”.  You risk not getting an important message if you do not answer.
Please remember to check the online bulletin on our school website for important daily announcements and updates.

BASKETBALL REGISTRATION

Our basketball teams will be playing in the CYO League this year.  This is due to the decreasing number of schools in our Diocese.  Similar to previous years, basketball will be available for girls and boys in grades 4 through 8.
Basketball registration will end on Sunday September 29th.Please register as soon as possible as we need to inform CYO the number of teams we are entering this year.

To register, please go online via our website, http://assumption-school.siplay.com/site/.   The link can also be found on the Assumption School website, under the “Athletics” tab.  You will then be prompted to create a login & password.  Once you’ve completed the registration process and paid in full, a confirmation receipt will be e-mailed to you immediately.
A copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate (preferred) or Birth Certificate is required.  After registering, please send a copy (not an original) of your child’s Baptismal Certificate to School in an envelope marked “CYO.”
An annual sports physical form must be completed and on file with the nurses before your child can participate in any sports activity.
Please contact Kevin Bopp at kevin_bopp@nylim.com or Camille Haynes at riley2419@yahoo.com with any questions.

Reservations NEW THIS YEAR! You no longer have to register an entire table at once! Groups should identify a Table Captain and then individuals can register and pay online…simply enter your Table Captain in the required field. Groups can make up partial tables, as well. If you do not have a Table Captain and would like to be seated with a certain group or grade, you can note that in your registration as well. Table Captains still have the option of registering a group at once but the individual feature streamlines the registration process! https://www.assumptionparish.org/assumption-school-fashion-show
