SANTA’S WORKSHOP 2019

CHRISTMAS STORE WORKSHOP

Great news! We our updating our Christmas Store Workshop schedule and will be wrapping and crafting this Thursday November 14th. Please come by the Multi Purpose Room (next door to Prek3) and join the fun while helping us provide the kids with one of the most magical days of the year. Complete schedule of upcoming dates available here.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to wrap presents at home, please contact Meredith Ricciardi at m.ricciardi@optimum.net. Santa’s elves will provide the wrapping paper and tags. Please note- ALL boxes for at home wrapping must be delivered back to school by November 27th.

Lastly, each year there are raffles for the children and parents. These raffles are composed donations from the Assumption community. Our wish list includes gifts such as the Nintendo Switch, Chrome Book, American Girl Doll, Legos, Air Pods, or any other hot item you think the kids would enjoy. If you would like to donate a raffle item or make a monetary donation towards the raffles, please contact Stephanie Vieira at svieira1129@mail.com.

KID CHEF – FALL SESSION

We’re back…………. with new and exciting recipes. Mrs. Sopira and Mrs. Guglielmo will share their culinary skills and recipes with you. In this class we will be making both savory and sweet snacks using puff pastry and ice cube trays. Yes, you read it right!! So fun and delicious!!!

Here are the particulars:
Wednesday, November 20
Class will begin at 2:30 and end at 4:00 pm
We will meet in the Computer Room.
Dismissal will be via the doors near the Music Room (the teacher’s parking lot)
Your child might want to bring a water bottle.

The cost is $40.00 per class. Checks should be made out to S. Sopira or S. Guglielmo, or cash.(Checks are non-refundable).

ATTENTION ALL PRE-SCHOOL PARENTS

NJ state law requires all pre-school children to receive the flu vaccine annually. If you have not already done so, please provide documentation from your doctor that your child has had the vaccine by December 1, 2019. Any child without proper documentation will not be allowed to return to school.

Please call or stop by the nurse’s office if you have any questions or concerns.

ASSUMPTION’S ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE

Assumption’s Annual Blood Drive will be held TODAY, November 10th from 8:30-1:30pm in the school gym. The Red Cross highly encourages all donors to schedule an appointment in order to assist with staffing the blood drive. To schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor keyword: Assumption School. Donors must be 17 years of age (or 16 years old with parental consent. HOSPITALITY – TEACHER TREATS

CLAY STUDIO – HOLIDAY SESSION

6 Mondays – 2:30-3:30 – $78
November 11, 18, 25 and December 2, 9, 16

Come spend Monday after-school at Assumption creating one-of-a-kind objects working in clay. Students will learn to use simple tools and traditional hand-building techniques as well as ways to impress texture into the clay. They will also strengthen their color and design skills as we glaze our pieces.

Please return this form along with your $78 check, for Peggy Davo, to the main office by Thursday, November 7th. All supplies are included and firing will be done in my studio. A portion of your check goes to the school. Thanks!

PIZZA NIGHT WITH THE BISHOP

Once again, the Bishop has graciously agreed to have a “Pizza Night with the Bishop”. The evening event will take place on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will be located at Morris Catholic High School in Denville.
