REMINDER: HSA Christmas Collection Due Tuesday 11/24
During the week of November 9th, you should have received a green flyer and donation envelope in your youngest student’s backpack for our annual HSA Christmas Collection. Each year families are invited to make a donation that is pooled and given to the faculty and staff as a Christmas thank you from our Assumption families. If you have not sent in a donation, but would like to participate, please send your envelope in to school by Tuesday, November 24th.
If you cannot find the envelope that was sent home, please just be sure to label your envelope “HSA Christmas Collection” and include your family name on the front. Cash or checks payable to “Assumption HSA” are both accepted. Happy Thanksgiving to all and many thanks for your continued generosity to our dedicated faculty and staff.
CHRISTMAS STORE 2020
We have two more volunteer opportunities to help with the most magical day of the year at Assumption School! The Sign Up Genius link below will allow you to volunteer for Christmas Store set-up on Tuesday 12/8, or to help at the actual Christmas Store taking place on Wednesday 12/9 and Thursday 12/10. Please note, spots are very limited this year. We ask that you only sign up for one time slot on one of the days to ensure as many people get a chance to help as possible.

The cloistered Carmelite Sisters of Morristown are devoted to praying more than eight hours a day for peace in our community and in the world. They are dependent on the goodwill of the community to meet their basic needs and unfortunately, the Assumption Church annual bake sale benefiting the Carmelite Sisters cannot be held this year due to the Covid pandemic.In lieu of the bake sale, volunteers have created a cookbook of desserts, “Sweet Carmel,” which includes Catholic themed photos taken by a professional food photographer!
There will be a limited number of printed copies available by mid-December. The 80+ page cookbook will be high end magazine quality with a bounded spine. There is also a digital version that can be downloaded immediately upon payment.
