Online Bulletin

2024-2025 B6T bus forms and textbook forms were emailed home to all current Kindergarten through 7th grade families last week.

 Forms are due back to the office no later than Friday, February 16th.

You must complete one bus and one textbook form per child even if you are not returning in the fall regardless of where you live. 

Forms can also be found on the website under the Parents/Forms/Enrollment tab. Please let Sharon in the main office know if you need hard copies of the forms.

 

Monday, February 12:

  • Dress Down – Wear your favorite sports jersey
  • We are hosting a “SOUPer Bowl” Food drive for the Interfaith Food Pantry. Please consider sending in a can of soup or other canned food items.  We will be collecting donations through Monday, February 12th in the lobby.  Thank you!

 Wednesday, February 14:

  • Ash Wednesday – Mass @ 9 a.m.

 Friday, February 16:

  • Half day/11 a.m. dismissal
  • There will be NO AFTERCARE

 Monday & Tuesday, February 19 & 20:

  • President’s Day & Winter Break

 Wednesday, February 21:

  • School Resumes

Attention ALL SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS:

VIRTUS/Protecting God’s Children Recertification

Beginning January 1, 2024, the safe environment policy will now require online retraining every five years. To start, all active VIRTUS accounts (teachers, staff, volunteers, etc.) who attended their initial Protecting God Children training from 2003 to 2019 must complete their retraining online, and all will have until July 1, 2024. Look for an email from Virtus. If you did not get an email AND your training took place prior to 2019, please email Mrs. DeChiaro at pdechiaro@assumptionnj.org

NEW PROCESS AS OF FEBRUARY 1, 2018 FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AT ASSUMPTION SCHOOL:

Please send your name and email address to Phyllis DeChiaro in the school office at pdechiaro@assumptionnj.org.  She will provide you with next steps to register with Virtus, as required by the Diocese of Paterson.

 

Asbestos Management Plan – Our school contains small amounts of materials which contain asbestos.  These materials were commonly used in buildings at the time the school was built.  The school is required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act regulations to maintain an Asbestos Management Plan.  The EPA regulations and our Asbestos Management Plan are designed to ensure the safety and health of our students, teachers, and staff.
